The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high end technical sales solutions from a broad portfolio of cutting-edge scientific research products. At Carl Zeiss Microscopy USA, the 3D Life-Sciences Product Application Sales Specialist (3D LS PASS) is the expert for Confocal Laser Scanning, Super-Resolution, Lightsheet and Wide-field Fluorescence Microscopy products and applications focused on ensuring customer as well as business success.
Responsibilities
- In this Technical Sales role, she/he interfaces with our customers as well as the Zeiss Account Mangers/Business Partners as the solutions architect, applying their product knowledge and expertise to customer applications in order to drive customer success and product sales.
- She/he interfaces with customers as the subject matter expert and aids in customer trainings and support for Confocal, Super-Resolution, Lightsheet and high-end widefield microscopy product lines.
- Success in this customer facing role requires an agile mindset with a strong customer focus based on foundational understanding of microscopy and imaging and their application to life-sciences.
- Seeking candidates with a curious mindset, those who thrive in a team environment, are always up to date on latest technological trends in microscopy and computing, communicate routinely in a team environment and those who will provide feedback on customer applications, market conditions, system performance, trainings and support.

Qualifications
- Solid understanding of foundational concepts in wide-field Fluorescence and Confocal Microscopy
- Experience in applying Confocal and Fluorescence microscopy to life-sciences applications preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in private/public forums
- Proficiency in computing hardware and software and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
- Ability to travel 60-70% to customer sites for technical demonstrations, seminars, trainings and meetings
- Experience preferred in Life-Sciences/Bioengineering/Analytical environments applying wide-field fluorescence and confocal microscopy to research applications
- BS in Life-Sciences or an Analytical Field of study or appropriate experience in microscopy/instrumentation. MS or PhD Preferable but not a requirement.
