The transition to battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will transform how our customers operate their fleets. Driven by economics, policy and/or legislation, more than 30% of fleets will be comprised of zero emission vehicles across the different vehicle classes during the next decade. This translates to 3M vehicles by 2025 and 11M vehicles by 2030 in our North American, European, and Asian markets.
Prologis has a unique opportunity to leverage its real estate, development platform, renewable energy expertise, and customer base to build a market leading turn-key electric vehicle charging business. Medium and heavy-duty electric fleet vehicles of the future will largely be charging at warehouses and mobility hubs. This, together with the expanding market penetration of e-commerce and the resulting growth in warehousing space, puts Prologis in a unique position to provide vehicle charging solutions at scale.
As one of the first hires in a growing team within Prologis that is dedicated to this opportunity, the Director - Mobility Product Management North America/Europe will have a critical role to play in ensuring competitive, scalable, and innovative products are available to our customers
Responsibilities:
  • Own the product/offering roadmap across PLD Mobility segments, including Depot, Hub and Workplace Charging market segments
  • Work closely with the Commercial, Solutions and Infrastructure teams within PLD Mobility to understand evolving market needs and synthesize learnings from customer engagements
  • Lead interactions with Customers and Partners to understand needs and identify opportunities to expand our solutions and to increase the penetration and velocity of our solutions in the market
  • Own the final finished “product” the customer receives, including pricing, service level commits, contracting framework, etc.
  • Partner with other PLD experts to incorporate diverse offering components into the finished offer, including optimal tariff selection and management, electricity sourcing (including self-generation options), environmental attributes (e.g., LCFS, incentives, etc.), wholesale market products, etc.
  • Lead efforts with PLD Mobility Infrastructure teams to productize temporary power and on-site generation capabilities as components of our comprehensive Charging as a Service suite of products
  • Develop integrated solutions spanning EV charging, Battery Energy Storage, Solar, Renewable Energy procurement, and wholesale market participation
  • Partnering with PLD IT and 3rd party software providers to further the breadth and value of our operating platform
  • Actively participating in industry standards initiatives, and engaging with regulatory bodies, trade organizations, and ecosystem partners to align interests and priorities
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years experience in commercial product management and design; experience in Energy/ZEV/Automotive fueling, required
  • BS or MS in Engineering preferred
  • Customer centric and innovative mindset focused on solving customer pain points by providing products and solutions that meet the customer’s need
  • Proven track record in the definition, design, and delivery of integrated energy systems (EV Charging preferred, but Solar and/or Storage are also valuable)
  • Proven track record in shaping commercial offering to the needs to different market segments, including technical, commercial and contract design
  • 5+ years experience in leadership roles in defining and designing networked electrical products, and successfully launching them in market
  • Experience in training internal and external resources to market and sell networked electrical products
  • Knowledge of standards of electrical equipment and systems
  • Knowledge of EVSE and EV industry highly preferred; knowledge of PV and BESS industry is an advantage
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with contract structures and optimized commercial outcomes is an advantage
  • Excellent communicator including the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Hiring Salary Range of: $166000.00 to $222,000.00. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
