Position Overview

The Telecommunicator Portfolio Director is accountable for product and service development tasks for discovering, developing, and delivering telecommunicator quality improvement services. This position leads a team focused on resuscitation quality improvement programs for public safety (911) telecommunicators.
In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, this position will build upon existing success with customers and focus on expanding our lifesaving value and impact.
The Telecommunicator Portfolio Director leads a passionate team focusing on enabling, empowering, and verifying that public safety telecommunicators provide high-quality telephone CPR instructions to help save more lives from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
  • QI Strategic Initiatives – Develops and implements strategic plans for quality improvement services in coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including the Resuscitation Academy Foundation, Laerdal, AHA, RQI Partners, and other partner organizations.
  • Simulation to Practice – Implementation of solutions that connect simulation and real-world data to enable public safety professionals to provide tailored care and resources based on the needs of individual patients.
  • Connected Ecosystem – Facilitates the creation of a connected ecosystem of telecommunicators and -public safety organizations by sharing best practices through enabling technologies.

Position Holder is Accountable For:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Leadership and effective coordination of a team of professionals.
  • Mission, Business, and Sustainability Impact – Accountable for achieving portfolio and organizational goals for mission impact, business results (OKRs), and sustainability efforts.
  • Go to Market Strategies – Partners with marketing to implement value propositions, marketing campaigns, demand generation strategies, and sales enablement that results in customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Adoption and Implementation - Accountable for achieving subscription adoption requirements for the QI portfolio of programs and services defined in each business case.
  • Prepared Organization - accountable for verifying the field organization's competence to sell, implement, and support service lines.
  • Program and Product Development User Specifications - ensures delivery and translation of user specifications for products, programs, and services into the design and technical requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Works closely with colleagues from the platform, program, product, and customer operations teams.
  • Consumer and Market Intelligence - Utilizes market research, analyzing and evaluating key market statistics, customer requirements, and competitive trends to help define market needs for telecommunicator quality improvement
  • Service Development and Management – Organizes rapid discovery and service initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the correct prioritization, development, and delivery of QI programs.
  • Inclusive and Accessible Design and Compliance - Ensures that QI services are utilizing best practices, having achieved or exceeded compliance with accessibility requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Combination of education and experience will be considered for otherwise qualified candidates.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in a combination of product management, sales, and marketing (must have a combinations of at least two).
  • Extensive experience building and managing high-performing teams in product/program, implementation, and operations management – with proven success.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and initiatives
  • Experience in successfully building and managing high-performing teams in product/program, implementation, and operations management.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and initiatives with competing priorities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a public safety Sector
  • Preferred knowledge or experience in:
    • Quality Improvement (QI) audit of emergency calls, documenting performance and delivering feedback verbally and in writing.
    • Planning and implementing performance improvement initiatives.

The estimated annual base salary for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc..
