Monday - Thursday 4:00pm -4:00am 13.50/hr

JOB OBJECTIVES (Purpose of the position):

Operate and adjust a group of machines to perform punching and sawing operations on a variety of metal products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives):

1. Refer to work schedules to determine items to be processed and receive verbal instructions from others regarding daily assignments.

2. Operate brake-press to punch hole patterns in metal products. Monitor continually holes being punched for acceptable quality. Replenish oil supply as needed. Set-up and change over as needed.

3. Operate chop saw to cut stock lengths to desired finished goods lengths.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Marginal tasks performed on this job):

1. Clean and lubricate machine components at regular intervals. Maintain work area in clean orderly fashion. Dispose of scrap materials in appropriate containers.

2. As directed, perform associated duties of less or equal difficulties.

3. Must be able to interact with employees in a professional manner at all times.

JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions):

Be able to work and communicate with others, to follow direct orders. Good hand and eye coordination.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS (Needed to perform this job specifically):

1. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying).

2. Basic writing skills are required in the completion of daily production records.

3. Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.

EQUIPMENT (Machines, devices, tools, personal protective equipment, etc. used on this job):

Punch presses, drill press, Brake press, Jambup, DV1, EXV, Lennox, auto Heims, Tile edge, manual heim, hand feed chop saw and Oliver saw, fork-lift. Hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes.

JOB LOCATION/ENVIRONMENT/SURROUNDINGS:

Noise levels require the use of ear plugs. Due to noise levels, verbal communication may, at times, be difficult. Sometimes an oily mist is present in the air along with a slight smoke from saw cuts. Saws are among other fabrication operations in an area which does not have air conditioning. Floor is concrete with no covering.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.50 per hour
