Responsibilities
- Ensures there is enough material on the machine.
- Ensures there is the proper amount of machine oil in the machine.
- Ensures correct gages are on the machine.
- Inspects parts to ensure they are dimensionally and visually acceptable as they are made.
- Keeps work area safe, clean, and orderly.
- Records inspection findings on “In Process Inspection form QF-98”.
- Notifies Floor Inspector in the case of nonconformance.
- Follows company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Ability to understand basic math (addition, subtraction).
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings and dimensions.
- Ability to use metrological equipment such as micrometers, ring and plug gages, and optical comparator.
- Basic writing and speaking skills in English.
