OVERVIEW:

The Production Associate supports the planning and coordination of the production schedule to meet the needs of both customer orders and inventory stocking levels.
THE POSITION :

• Support the execution of the production schedule to meet company production targets while optimizing operational efficiency and customer service.
• Review backlog reports to ensure products meet the required ship dates and customer expectations. Take corrective action as needed.
• Assists with purchase orders for outside vendor processes, materials, and supplies.
• Maintains inventory accuracy for finished & raw materials by way of cycle count schedule.
• Modify work orders as needed to respond to changes in customer demand, as well as to optimize efficiency.
• Creates, documents, and maintains production procedures, goals, and KPI’s.
• Prepares reports for analysis and decision making.
• Assists in continuous improvement projects with designated employees. Initiates and proposes CI projects within the scope of the department and helps drive these through completion.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING:

• High-School diploma
• Demonstrated knowledge in production and manufacturing process and techniques with 3-5 years experience.
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques.
• Demonstrated ability for attention to detail.
• Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Heightened ability to follow Engineering documents including but not limited to:
• Geometry specification sheets
• Product drawings
• Job routers
• Process sheets
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

The California pay range for this position is $20+ an hour, based on experience and qualifications.
