Job Description
Incumbent directs and coordinates activities of production departments in processing.

Job Duties
1. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types,
quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan.

2. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing
products, scheduling personnel, and equipment to compete the order.
3. Based on orders, sets milling and shipping departments operational schedules and
coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products.

4. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing,
and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
5. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and
optimum utilization.
6. Develops and/or revises standard operational and working practices and observes
workers to ensure compliance with standards.
7. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Waldenburg
Director of Operations for action.
8. Compiles, stores and retrieves production data.
9. Communicates with Stuttgart production control manager about milling and shipping
needed to operate the mill.
10. Communicates with Director of Operations, Rough Rice Manager, Mill
Superintendent and Quality Assurance Manager regarding milling schedule.
11. Communicates with Packing/Shipping Manager, Milling Scheduler and Shipping
Clerk about packing and shipping schedule.
12. Interviews, hires and disciplines packing and shipping department employees.
13. Determines the quantity and types of rail cars to ship the orders.
14. Orders rail cars for shipping bulk and bag milled rice.
15. Monitors supplies for packing and shipping and orders supplies when needed.
16. Works in ERP system entering production orders, entering, and receiving supply
warehouse transfers.
17. Works in ERP for month end inventory.
18. Fills in for other ERP duties when necessary.
19. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
RICELAND
Education Requirements
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting,
computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or
correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years
related experience and/or training, and 19 to 23 months related management
experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1 subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise(s) a total of 15
employee(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring
and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising
performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems.
