Production Coordinator

The SeaCa Packaging, Inc location in Dinuba, CA is looking to add an experienced Production Coordinator to our team. SeaCa Packaging, Inc. is part of the Seattle-Tacoma Box Company family of companies. Seattle-Tacoma Box Company has been in business, under the same family ownership and management for over 134 years. Currently, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company conducts manufacturing and supports assembly operations and warehouses in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona. The various companies and locations specialize in the manufacturing of corrugated, corrugated plastic and wooden packaging used throughout the food industry.

The Production Coordinator is a newly added position to a recently reorganized department. The Production Coordinator's role will be to assign work while taking initiative to increase our production stats while reducing our total cost. The Production Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring Food Safety Systems are updated and adhered to in all processes. The Production Coordinator will also assist with other duties or projects as assigned by the Plant Superintendent when needed.

This position reports directly to the Plant Superintendent.

In order to support our current workforce and client base, a bilingual English/Spanish candidate is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for production efficiency
• Ensures that all material needed for runs are available and put in request to reorder the needed materials prior to running out
• Performs regular line material inventory and not limited to investigating discrepancies and present results to management
• Responsible for all line material inventory related items
• Responsible for accurate finish product inventory verification with shipping department
• Strive to have employees focused on production and others on inventory management
• Ensure that all employees are following all food safety practices
• Contacts Maintenance for regularly scheduled machine maintenance
• Ensure all changeovers are expedited and effective in a timely manner
• Ensure effective employee relations. P Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution
• Track and report absenteeism to upper management
• Oversee Team training and documentation
• Ensure safety policies and procedures to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job
• Perform accident investigations and report to management immediately
• Ensure that all employees are taking timely breaks and lunches as required by law
• Ensure that all employees are following all company policies and procedures
• Work with management regarding labor, disciplinary issues, training, and other
• Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management in all departments
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Perform administrative duties

Position Requirements:

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in a warehouse manufacturing environment or packing house
• Must possess proficient computer skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and through email
• Must be able to count and successfully perform basic math calculations

Experience:

• Warehouse: 2 years (Preferred)
• Leadership Duties: 2 years (Preferred)
• Corrugated Machines: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Type : Full-Time; Hours for this position may vary slightly from operating hours

Hours of Operation: SeaCa Packaging, Inc. is open for business Monday – Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, this position will also be expected to work overtime and some Saturdays (by request of the Plant Superintendent), during the peak season (April-September).
