Spherion of Owatonna, MN currently has a production forklift operator position available to support our local customer. The forklift operator will be working a 12 hour rotating shift on night shift in a manufacturing warehouse. The forklift operator will work 4 days on, then have 4 days off. Responsibilities:

• Keep palletizer operator properly supplied with pallets, top frames, and slip sheets and ensure the quality of all materials.
• Keep pallets aligned properly and remove jams as needed.
• Make sure pallet inventory is properly sorted, with defective pallets stored in separate area.
• Check conditions of forklift and perform basic preventative maintenance at start of each shift.
• Perform band tension check once per shift and document results on check sheet.
• Inspect and transport finished pallets to warehouse
• Other duties as assigned

Must Haves:

• Ability to safely operate all forklifts in the plant.
• High stacking, double tine experience preferred
• Able to read and understand pallet tickets and production schedules.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience as a forklift operator
• Know how to fill tanks and do basic inspections of fork truck at shift start up.
• Able to read and understand pallet tickets and date codes and production schedules.
