Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Production Scheduler located at our offices in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Production Scheduler you will run SAP reports and analyze action messages and resolve issues as well as analyze and react to daily reports and expedite, delay, cancel or adjust purchase orders. In addition, the Materials & Production Planner will provide daily production schedules for manufacturing processes in the facility that meet customer deliver requests.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Run and analyze SAP reports to determine specific items to be ordered (cartons, shipping cases, stickers, etc)
  • Process and update SAP with missing information for sourcing or master items as well as complete SAP maintenance as needed.
  • Monitor Bellwood cartons.
  • Monitor PUL Cases.
  • Analyze, monitor and respond to daily Shortage reports and warnings.
  • Conduct vendor selection, pricing/monitoring, due dates and ship to locations are assigned to color lists.
  • Ensure requisition orders are launched and expedite, delay, cancel or make changes to PS’s as required.
  • Reconcile vendor inventories on a scheduled basis.
  • Coordinate release of aged inventory with plants.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
  • Generate production schedules each day for the manufacturing machines based on daily MRP updated information.
  • Review any changes/additions/deletions for customer orders as well as determine component requirements to produce needed products for customer shipments.
  • Release needed raw material packaging from vendors to service orders.
  • Perform necessary maintenance to the MRP system to deal with expedite/de-expedite messages.
  • Be a resource to troubleshoot and fix problems related to Shop Order accuracy and production reporting issues.
  • Send out Reynolds Wrap Efficiency Report regularly.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4+ years of related professional and progressive experience in production planning in an operations facility environment.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.


Icing on the cake:

  • Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, demand planning, or distributions operations
  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
