Job purpose
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will oversee the production floor.
Key responsibilities
  • Assist Production Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
  • Schedule and oversee approximately 30-40 production & maintenance techs employees.
  • Head of the BorgWarner - Akasol Production Floor Management.
  • Technical and disciplinary management of a shift within our production series.
  • Ensuring a smooth flow of production processes to achieve the defined production targets.
  • Accountable for the production plan.
  • Accountable for the on-time delivery KPI.
  • Reporting production results to Operations team.
  • Fault analysis and definition of measures in the event of plant malfunctions in cooperation with the production engineering department.
  • Support CIP measures, maintenance, and servicing activities.
  • Maintaining order and cleanliness (5S) of the production floor.
  • Preparation and continuous updating of production documentation.
  • Implementation and organization of safety instructions based on current regulations and ensuring compliance.
  • Optimization of production processes.
  • Participation in recruiting production employees.
  • Regular employee training and further development of the qualification matrix.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • High level of commitment, loyalty and team spirit as well as an independent, precise and goal-oriented way of working.
  • Team player with hands-on mentality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
