Job purpose
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will oversee the production floor.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Production Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
- Schedule and oversee approximately 30-40 production & maintenance techs employees.
- Head of the BorgWarner - Akasol Production Floor Management.
- Technical and disciplinary management of a shift within our production series.
- Ensuring a smooth flow of production processes to achieve the defined production targets.
- Accountable for the production plan.
- Accountable for the on-time delivery KPI.
- Reporting production results to Operations team.
- Fault analysis and definition of measures in the event of plant malfunctions in cooperation with the production engineering department.
- Support CIP measures, maintenance, and servicing activities.
- Maintaining order and cleanliness (5S) of the production floor.
- Preparation and continuous updating of production documentation.
- Implementation and organization of safety instructions based on current regulations and ensuring compliance.
- Optimization of production processes.
- Participation in recruiting production employees.
- Regular employee training and further development of the qualification matrix.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least three (3) years supervisory experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- High level of commitment, loyalty and team spirit as well as an independent, precise and goal-oriented way of working.
- Team player with hands-on mentality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
