IMPORTANT: Janicki Industries is a Washington state-based company looking for Production Technicians at all levels to work offsite at our different facilities or travel to customer facilities. Training for this position will take place at our facility in Washington state with the work being performed in various western states (WA, UT, etc.). This role entails 60-hour work weeks. You can live anywhere in the U.S. for this position.

Incentives: Eligible for offsite bonus pay, extra pay for maintaining an active security clearance, and paid travel to visit home every month.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Production Technician & Production Lead positions involve the execution of various manufacturing processes. Production Technicians at all levels are required to follow directions carefully, have basic mechanical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:

• Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents.
• Receives and carries out directions from designated supervisors.
• Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.
• Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized.
• Performs tabbing operations to work order specifications.
• Aircraft Structural Assembly: Drill/countersinking, shimming, sealant application.
• Electrical wiring harness/hardware installation.
• Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function.
• Follows Janicki Industries Rules and Safety Practices and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follows 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap standards and practices throughout all work performed.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition.
• Packages and crates parts for shipment, including shrink wrapping.
• Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements.
• Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction.
• Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
• Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a)(3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance Required (Investigation within the last 6 years).
• Must be willing to travel off-site more than 80% of the time.
• Prior military experience encouraged.
• Per diem in accordance with off-site location.
• Ability to return home monthly.
• Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Wage range for this role is between $18 and $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
