We pride ourselves on being the only organization of its kind in Maine to have had every program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for over 30 continuous years and operate a number of different programs in the greater Bangor area that each provides unique services including the Bouchea Center for Learning, PVI (Penobscot Valley Industries), Ralph Leek Elders, Community Life, Pathways to Employment and Home Supports. Our wide variety of programs now have part-time openings for Program Assistant positions.

The Program Assistant works directly as an integral part of a team to support program participants both in day program services and also community settings. His/her major role is to assist individuals to maximize their potential in making choices, taking action to gain experience, and making and learning from their individual choices. Assistants must provide consistency by understanding and implementing consumer's individual plans and responding appropriately to all consumer behavior. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and strong organizational skills. A positive attitude is required. Related experience, DSP, CRMA and knowledge of positive behavioral supports are valued, but we offer will provide the right candidate(s) the training and skill development to excel.
