SALARY AND BENEFITS:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Associate provides administrative and project management support for the Western Resource Adequacy Program (WRAP) team. This includes providing day-to-day WRAP program administration support, such as meeting scheduling, invoicing, document management, reporting, and communications to member participants and team members. This position will also support the WRAP team to research and define risks and opportunities, analyze data, contribute to the development of solutions, and write and present results to internal and external audiences. The Program Associate will be an integral part of exciting developments in the Western Interconnect, with opportunities for learning, career growth, and networking across the energy industry. WPP is seeking a highly-motivated individual to add value to the small team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management:

  • Supports WRAP team to collect, analyze, and visually transform data into insights using a wide range of tools and approaches.
  • Provides project management assistance to WRAP program managers, including administration and facilitation of member committees as requested
  • Develops communications processes and approaches to share information and results with member participants and staff
  • Collaborates with WRAP team to develop communications and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Monitors changes in the industry that could materially impact the WRAP
  • Provides technical and policy analysis support regarding existing and potential resource adequacy in the West

Administrative:

  • Serves as first point of contact for general WRAP participant requests and collaborates with staff to escalate and resolve requests and questions
  • Schedules meetings and provides meeting support as needed, including notes and action items
  • Maintains and updates SharePoint site with WRAP documents
  • Supports invoicing servicing in coordination with office manager and finance manager
  • Partners with office manager to arrange travel, including flight and hotel booking, and car rentals, for WRAP team

Ongoing:

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
  • Comply with WPP policies

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Full-time, permanent position

Education Level: College degree required

Experience: At least two years of administrative or project execution experience

  • Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Analytical abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience or interest in energy, technology, and/or sustainability
  • Interest in changing how businesses operate, project management, and/or process improvement
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods working on a computer.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
