SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator works in close partnership with the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) Director to provide administrative and programmatic support to the overall LDI scope of work that includes the ZERO TO THREE Fellowship, the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Emerging Leadership Awards, the IECMH Clinical Enhancement Initiative, and the Academy of ZERO TO THREE Fellows alumni network. This work is implemented in collaboration with the IECMH Leadership Team, ZTT Staff, Academy of ZTT Fellows Leadership Council, and IECMH Board Workgroup.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate activities/events related to the application submission, review, and selection process for the ZERO TO THREE Fellowship Program
  • Coordinate activities related to planning, implementation, and evaluation of fellowship events/activities which may include written/electronic communications, conference calls, retreats, special events/meetings, and other activities, as appropriate
  • Manage activities/events related to the application submission, review, and selection process for the Annual IECMH Emerging Leadership Awards
  • Manage activities related to the IECMH Clinical Fellowship Enhancement Mentorship Program which matches ZTT Fellows with a IECMH mentor. These activities may include:
    • Support recruitment of IECMH Clinical Mentors, secure mentor agreements, and suggest mentor- mentee matches
    • Identify and onboard clinical “shadowing” sites for clinical Fellows
  • Provide support to Fellows, Fellowship Workgroup, Academy Leadership Council, and others as appropriate, in making logistical arrangements for LDI-related events and activities
  • Lead meeting planning efforts for LDI events/activities such as identification of facilities, negotiation of contracts, securing necessary accommodations, and working with on-site facility staff to ensure all necessary supports and services are provided in a timely and high-quality manner, and travel coordination, as necessary

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3 -5 years of substantial experience in program administration and management, and ideally experience in early childhood leadership development and infant and early childhood mental health
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to establish positive and productive relationships with a broad diversity of colleagues, constituents, and collaborators
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple and changing responsibilities effectively often with tight timelines
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a constructive manner and to build and sustain cross-organizational relationships
  • Knowledge of early childhood development issues (previous experience with infant- early childhood mental health field a plus)

EDUCATION

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred with training/experience in mental health (psychology, social work, counseling), or a related field desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounter while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air- conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home environment. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
