The Program Director is responsible for managing the Family Keys which provide comprehensive community-based services with the goal of serving youth in their communities and preventing further penetration into the Juvenile Justice system. The Program Director is responsible for the managerial, operational, and administrative duties within the program. This position is also responsible for performing the case management service and meeting all contractual and performance obligations.


Essential Functions::
  • Provide regular supervision to contractual clinician
  • Ensures individualized planning, effective service coordination and management of care for all youth in program according to the Family Keys Plus model
  • Assures that services are provided in accordance with funding guidelines, Family Keys Plus program model and are based on the specific needs of children, youth, and families
  • Ensures youth and family have active participation in all program components
  • Ensures services are strength based, culturally and linguistically competent
  • Uses the Risk, Needs and Responsivity model to guide care coordination and treatment plans
  • Provides leadership in establishing a cohesive multi-systemic alliance among community stakeholders and community-based providers to assure that interagency processes are working effectively and efficiently
  • Engages in regular outreach with agency partners to include the schools, community-based service providers, natural supports, and juvenile probation department
  • Ensures the program staff follow all applicable rules, regulations and laws as set for the by the funder and all other licensing governing boards
  • Be in good standing with their respective licensing board
  • Meet all the TJJD and County Juvenile Probation grant requirements and outcomes
  • Provide services at client homes, schools, and other community-based locations as appropriate
  • Ensure data entry is completed timely in accordance with the YFS expectations
  • Manage the referrals to Clinician
  • Submit all billing and required reports to Juvenile Probation Department
  • Manage program budget
  • Run outcomes reports to assess effectiveness of the program
Other Functions::
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with Regional Executive Director
  • Maintain all required licensing, trainings and certifications
  • Travel as needed for trainings, meetings and conferences
  • Work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some weekends as needed
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication with all program staff
  • Able to react to change productively and manage other essential tasks as assigned
  • Work remotely when not in the field
Qualifications and Requirements::
  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, (master’s degree-preferred) in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field
  • At least five (5) years’ work experience with youth
  • Supervisory experience in monitoring and quality assurance of behavior/case management, budget management, personnel management, conflict resolution, culturally diversity awareness, overall office management, group, or family counseling youth services, residential, educational, or institutional settings and advocacy
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, registration and maintain state mandated car insurance
  • Computer literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel), and able to learn a variety of online database systems
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Clear background check from appropriate entities
Physical Demands::

Must be able to obtain First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to verify client’s whereabouts by driving, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Daily use of various office equipment. Bending, stooping, climbing up stairs and lifting up to 15 lbs. required to complete daily tasks.

Work Environment::

This is a program which requires daily contact at various client locations. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
