TITLE OF POSITION: Program & Grant Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. At least three years of experience in grant writing highly preferred. Must pass KBI, DCF child & adult abuse registry, motor vehicle screen, and background checks. Must have reliable and insured transportation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Thorough understanding of effective grant writing techniques.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
- Ability to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as employee salaries or upcoming projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, extremely organized and meticulous with details.
- Close attention to detail and able to plan and meet strict deadlines.
- Calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work with a team or independently.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: Regular full-time position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Coordinator: The Program Coordinator will provide support to the Director of Business Development for the purposes of planning, implementing, and evaluating different programs within SEKMHC’s service locations.
- Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities.
- Monitor implementation of program and practices.
- Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly.
- Support program growth and development as necessary.
- Maintains program/project records, research information, gathers and computes various data.
- Work directly with management and Director of Business Development to manage project workflow and oversee day to day milestones for projects.
- Ability to generate interest in SEKMHC and reach out to appropriate business partners.
- Experience working with a diverse team and promoting a positive brand image.
Grant Coordinator: The Grant Coordinator will identify and apply for various grants that meet the SEKMHC’s needs, overseeing the grant application process from beginning to end.
- Research various types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each.
- Discusses available sources of funding with administrative managers.
- Complies necessary information for the application process through collaboration with other employees, database research, and other factfinding actions and meetings.
- Drafts and completes grant applications according to application requirements.
- Ensures grant is submitted on time and within application parameters.
- Completes all documents, forms, or reports required by the grant.
- Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.
- Develops and maintains master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer.
