SUMMARY
Provide accomplishment of contracted commitments, management of customer service, and supervision and professional growth of program personnel on behalf of our customers, employees, and executive management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:

  • Creates business growth opportunities within current contracts through expansion and extension.
  • Supports Operations Manager by identifying new business opportunities.
  • Submits pursuit plans and budgets for approval by the corporate Bid/No-Bid review team.
  • Executes and reports progress against these approved plans.
  • Supports the Operations Manager in the creation of contracts operational plans and budgets (Contract Implementation Plans).
  • Ensures performance on contracted efforts by executing approved plans, controlling and reporting progress relative to the established contact cost, schedule, and quality standards, and following project management standards.
  • Maintains continuous and effective communication with the customer organization to obtain a common understanding of their expectations.
  • Manages and performs direct contract financial functions including budgeting, purchasing, travel, payment approval, invoicing, and receivables control.
  • Plays a leadership role in the accomplishment of the corporate vision and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Directs and performs program personnel functions including staffing, performance, and salary reviews, EEO and benefits coordination, and personnel development.
  • Recommends personnel actions to Operations Manager for approval, including job offers, promotions, bonuses, pay changes, and disciplinary actions when required by corporate policy.
  • Identifies program and project manager candidates and provides for their development training.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of program management experience. and 10 years of technical experience preferred. 5 years Customs and Border Protection (CBP), or other federal government contract experience highly desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills, including good writing skills, are required.
  • Experience in the use of Access Database, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working with SharePoint.
  • Must have good analytical skills, attention to details, self-motivation, and organization skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with little to no supervision.
  • Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
  • Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently blocked from enforcement pending court proceedings. Therefore, Cherokee Federal is halting the application of the mandate; however, if the injunction is lifted, Cherokee Federal will restore administration of the vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
