General Overview

Mass General Brigham (MGB) Community Health leads the Mass General Brigham system-wide commitment to improve the health and well-being of low-income and vulnerable populations. Mass General Brigham’s commitment to the community is part of a $30 million pledge to programs aimed at dismantling racism and other forms of inequity through a comprehensive combination of approaches involving our health care delivery system and community health programs.

Under the direction of the Director for Community Health System Initiatives and Investments, the Program Manager is responsible for building out a formal infrastructure for managing grant making and receiving activities of MGB Community Health, as well as supporting the development of new community health strategies including those related to anchor and new enterprise initiatives (ERAPS)

Hybrid work environment, office-based work twice monthly within the Boston area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grant fund management and reporting
  • Manage the development of a system-wide process for applying for and managing community health grants received by MGB from external organizations (with support from Director)
  • Create an efficient process to manage communication across MGB related to community health grant opportunities and support enterprise-wide collaboration
  • Manage MGB grantmaking activities to external organizations and manage a grants process to fund individuals and teams conducting research to advance community health delivery
  • Manage the process for tracking of outcomes for community-based investments Conduct evidence-based research, manage data collection, and conduct analysis and reporting of data related to community-based investments, and communicate the impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support MGB strategy development and community health improvement initiatives, as needed


Qualifications

  • BS degree and MS preferred
  • 3 to 5 years prior management experience
  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirement
  • Equivalency for BS requires 6 years of directly related experience in additional to required work experience
