TYPE: Full-Time Exempt

WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a Program Manager, you will oversee community services provided at the Community Residential Setting programs. This includes clinical evaluations of services at a programmatic level and with individual participants with a diagnosis of a mental illness, developmental disability and/or a brain injury. The Program manager will also assist with supervising the mental health workers providing the direct services.
A Program Manager's role is to supervise a team of mental health workers through the following ways:
  • Supervising, hiring, and terminating Mental Health Practitioners who provide 24-hour services, direct care, medication administration, and Independent Living Skills support to RTI’s participants.
  • Providing supervisory direction, annual reviews, and clinical/professional feedback for Mental Health Practitioners to enhance RTI’s participant’s coping skills development, independent living skills development and personal development.
  • Assist with the decision-making processes and intake related to selection of new participants to the Community Residential Setting program.
  • Review all submissions of incident reports or significant events and respond accordingly to the Program Manager or Area Director.
  • Ensure program development and licensing compliance are met.
  • Assist with scheduling client team meetings with case managers, guardians, and other team members as needed.
  • Complete monthly staff scheduling and on-call schedule
  • Coordinate staff team meetings, facilitate staff trainings and maintain staff training records.
  • Providing independent living skills training directly to participants.
  • Providing 24 Hour Support Services which requires evaluation of participants in mental health crisis and implementing crisis intervention plans. RTI participants may exhibit verbal and/or physical aggressive behavior directed toward Staff. RTI practices non-violent interventions to crises, including de-escalation techniques and motivational interviewing techniques to de-escalate a person’s behavior before it poses an imminent risk of physical harm to self or others.
  • Completing the necessary purchases for designated programs.
  • Completing the necessary requirements for 245D licensure. Tracking, implementing, and developing required staff training
  • Implementing and maintaining person centered programming.
  • Reviewing daily progress notes for individual clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Reviewing individual client Medication Administration Records weekly for any medication error discrepancies and completing the Medication Administration Record review form monthly.
  • Maintain, reconcile, and monitor individual client financials and the programs petty cash finances.
  • Complete monthly budget and submit Credit Card Expense forms with related statements ad receipts.
  • Providing weekly team updates to the individuals care team including case managers, social workers, guardians, Program Manager, and Area Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have a passion for improving the lives of the individuals we serve.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
  • Work in a person-centered approach.
  • Organize and work independently.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Have access to a working vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. or more.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older;

  • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older;
OR
  • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older.
OR
  • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; AND four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
