Job Summary: To assist the Director of Residential Programs in the administrative operation of the residential homes. To provide clinical and administrative oversight to full-time, part time and per diem Youth Counselors.

Essential Functions

  • Provide regular supervision and support to full-time, part time and per diem Youth Counselors
  • Provide coverage for Youth Counselor call outs and vacation with minimal usage of per diems
  • Assist with daily operation of the residence including but not limited to: resident issues, facility issues, staffing issues, organizing groups and activities for residents
  • Ensure the home is contiuously stocked with food and supplies
  • Develop purchase orders and request for needed items
  • Plan and organize recreational activities for the residents
  • Conduct weekly facilities checks and email to facility department
  • Oversee monthly fire drills
  • Participate in weekly staff and treatment planning meetings
  • Act as liasion between youth counselors and treatment team
  • Play key role in coordinating services for residents in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Facilitate weekly house meetings and assist with group activities
  • On-call for emergencies and crisis.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor degree preferred
  • Between 1-3 years of experience working youth in a residential setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of at risk-youth population required
  • Experience in youth development, services for runaway and homeless youth and lesbian, gay and transgender communities

Salary: 47-52k
