This role begins as a 1 year contract.

About the role:

Your work will help to ensure that the autonomous R&D vehicle fleet is running smoothly in support of closed course development and validation testing operations.

In this role, you will work closely with internal and external partners to manage and maintain our R&D fleet assets. You will be responsible for daily allocation and tracking of vehicles and equipment, facilities scheduling and inventory tracking. You will work closely with TPMs to track vehicle issues and escalate risks where necessary.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Allocation and tracking of R&D fleet assets including vehicles, hardware, instrumentation, and test equipment at MI testing facility
  • Development of dashboards to track fleet performance metrics
  • Material logistics handling including shipping & receiving, purchase orders, and inventory tracking
  • Coordinate facilities scheduling for labs, garages, and test tracks
  • Submit and track work orders for regular maintenance and repair of R&D fleet vehicles
  • Track and maintain R&D fleet vehicle HW/SW configurations and vehicle up-time metrics
  • Track vehicle status and escalate vehicle issues, risks, and blockers to partnering PMs/TPMs
  • Communicate daily fleet status to internal and external stakeholders

What you must have:

  • 2+ years of project management or project coordinator experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to bring organization to an ambiguous and dynamic work environment
  • Self-driven servant leader mindset that can drive action with stakeholders across different technical domains and organizations
  • Some travel may be required (< 20%)

Bonus Points!

  • Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent working experience
  • Experience with Agile process (Kanban, scrum) and project/task management tools (JIRA, Smartsheets)
  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Technology, Robotics, or similar industries
  • PMP certification

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
