Project Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, budgeting, tracking and executing all capital and improvement projects for all Webb and Trace facilities. This includes oversight and management of capital projects, improvement projects, improving efficiencies, upgrading technologies, upgrading equipment, process improvements, increasing productivity and reducing or eliminating bottlenecks.

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and focus on continuous improvement of an efficient and safe working environment for all employees
  • Ensure facility projects are running properly in manner that meets all aspects of “Webb’s Quality and Environmental Commitment”
  • Administer and resolve all project related issues
  • Help devise efficient systems and eliminate wastefulness
  • Integrate machines, information, employees, and materials to improve safety, quality, and overall effectiveness of operations
  • Monitor and manage all aspects of capital improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other sections within the plant, employees, and staff from other agencies
  • Collaborate with other Supervisors to prioritize project schedules
  • Root cause experience – know how to find root cause and troubleshoot
  • Monitoring all vendor invoices for project cost control and utilizing the Webb MRO process
  • All other duties assigned as needed

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, SAFETY, REGULATORY, COMPLIANCE & QUALITY

  • Responsible to provide support for the applicable departments including RD, ISO and FSSC programs.

FINANCIAL

  • Development, investigation, expense monitoring and tracking of budgets
  • Cost control and improvement

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional experience managing multiple improvement and/or capital projects
  • Proven leader that can cultivate and embody a culture based on accountability and personal responsibility in conjunction with Webb’s vision
  • Solid judgement along with decision-making skills
  • Use of personal protective equipment onsite/offsite as required by Webb and it’s customers
  • Understand and follow procedures/work instructions and hold employees accountable
  • Ability to develop, write and modify ISO work instructions
  • Good housekeeping and organizational skills and 5S background
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure and embrace constant change in plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications
  • Strong in using technology like the AMMS, ERP and other forms of technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses understanding and application of change management practices
  • Strong team player and leader with ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
  • Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain employees
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Working hours intended to be 9 hours/day with all work being completed
  • Business Hours - Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Flexibility is required due to equipment breakdowns, infrastructure issues and will require occasional attendance outside of regular office hours)
  • Hours could change at management discretion
  • Weekends and after hours as needed
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
  • Out of Town- may be required to travel for trips to customers, trainings, conferences
  • Lunch: as planned/scheduled per day
