POSITION SUMMARY:

TEAL believes in hiring only the best Project Development Director :within our industry. The Project Development Director will be responsible for continuing to grow and develop TEAL’s brand and offering to existing building owners in commercial office, multi-housing, hospitality as well as supporting our existing efforts in education and healthcare. We are looking for someone looking to challenge the status quo and who is driven to find a better solution to the way it’s done today. Our ideal candidate will have a proven record of providing comprehensive and unique solutions, for every client, in order to grow revenue and market share in both new and existing vertical and geographic markets.

This position will be based in Houston, TX,: and report to our VP of Sales & Marketing who is located in Dallas, TX. This position ensures positive employee relations while practicing our Company Values.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Developing our replacement central plant business with both new and existing clients, but many or most will be new clients who are not necessarily familiar with TEAL or what we do.
  • - Utilizing his/her existing network and relationships to earn opportunities to propose TEAL’s replacement central-plant-as-a-service solution to owners and managers of commercial buildings, including commercial real estate, multi-housing (multifamily, senior living, student housing, hospitality) and supporting our existing efforts in education and healthcare.
    • Solving problems and providing solutions provider to excel at delivering world-class customer service to our clients
    • Passionate about driving sales growth and market share of new and disruptive business solutions.
    • Challenging the status quo and driven to find a better solution to the way it’s done today
    • Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential clients to meet their needs and help them understand why TEAL provides the lowest total cost of ownership.
    • Connecting with clients through both warm and cold leads, prospecting, and industry networking.
    • Coordinating sales effort with team members and other departments.
    • Analyzing region’s market potential, track sales and update status reports on a regular basis thru CRM tool (Salesforce).
    • Supplying leadership with reports on client needs, and pain points to appropriate departments.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

    • Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations tailored to the audience needs.
    • May be required to perform product training to clients.
    • Must be able to work independently without getting discouraged.
    • Ability to negotiate with openness for feedback (positive or negative in nature).
    • Working knowledge of CRM systems, and ability to make timely status updates.
    • Ability to build and cultivate productive professional relationships.
    • Proven track record of selling and negotiating.
    • Must be able to work independently and be highly self-motivated.
    • Timely entry of expense reports.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to attend events outside of the regular work schedule.
    • Must have the ability to travel throughout Texas with overnight stays.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES and EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, is required.
    • Minimum 5+ years of sales and business development experience with commercial HVAC, building automation, and/or building technology in order to know and understand what TEAL solutions make sense when walking into a building.
    • Must have strong, established relationships in the commercial office market, specifically, and the A/E/C industry, in general.
    • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems.
    • Ability to connect with new people, and drive new business with people who don’t know they need or want to use us yet.
    • Must be results-oriented, highly-intelligent, growth-oriented, and have the ability to present and explain difficult, complex concepts in an easy way.

    • PTO Allotment of 120 hours / 3 weeks after 90 days of employment
