Actalent is hiring a Project Engineer to support a large, reputable an industrial/manufacturing organization with strong track record of success and investment!

The Project Engineer will have the autonomy to run with small-to-medium size CAPEX projects in a clean, climate control facility!

Description:

• Work with factory stakeholders to identify needs of engineering projects related to capital budget
• Facilitate for improvements for current, future and safety improvements.
• Work through specifications for new equipment.
• Work through responsibilities on the front end, coming up with solutions.
• Design, problem solve and work with projects from cradle to grave in a quick and agile manner.
• Put together bid packages for contractors and vendors to review and bid on.
• Provide costing for specific projects.
• Oversee project execution with contractors installing equipment.

Skills:

Project engineering, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, food processing, capital equipment, project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience within food manufacturing facility (ADM, ConAgra, Tysons, Quaker Oats, General Mills, etc.) is ideal.
• Understanding of food and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to manage variety of projects, from installing structural steel for safety rails to putting in new process equipment and coordinating downtime.
• Ability to communicate with management to shop floor, good communication skills is key for this role.
• Engineering degree preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years of project engineering/management experience.

This role is 100% onsite as the ideal candidate will need to walk the floor, make assessments, communicate with the team on a daily basis, and lead project meetings. This is not a remote opportunity, will not consider remote candidates. Living in or near Waverly, IA is ideal.
