My client is a well-established, well-respected medium-sized contractor active in Heavy civil projects between £200k - $15 million. They operate from New Rochelle and mainly work in Westchester county, New York. They are looking for an experienced Estimator with experience in Heavy civils projects to join their team
The Job responsibilities of the Project Engineer
Prepare & Submit Submittals & RFI's to clients and engineers for review
Maintain Project Submittal, Change Order and Daily logs
Maintain Project file in an organized fashion
Prepare weekly & monthly schedules
Assist with takeoff for estimating
Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors
Order job site materials
Interpret Plans & Specifications
Coordinate & Schedule Sub-Contractors
Attend weekly Job Site Meetings
Coordinate work with Site Superintendent & Project Manager
Deliver Material to Job Sites
The ideal Project Engineer will:
Must be a team player
Worked as part of a project team in the heavy highway construction industry
Excellent organizational & communication skills
Great time management skills
Excellent problem solver
Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel,etc.)
Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
Experience with both HCSS (HeavyBid) and Viewpoint would be helpful though not required.
College (preferably with a focus in engineering)
The Benefits of the Project Engineer position:
Salary $80-120k depending on experience.
Reimbursement for vehicle use
401k – they put in 4% when you put in 5%
