Foth Environmental Solutions is currently seeking a self-directed, results-oriented Project Environmental Scientist/Engineer - Compliance who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position will be based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate industrial environmental regulatory compliance
- Interpret and apply regulations and programs including Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Emergency Planning and Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans (SPCC)
- Assist with the preparation of applicable permit applications (CAA, NPDES, etc.) and technical documents, including written reports, letters, and regulatory agency correspondence
- Complete annual regulatory reports and monthly recordkeeping documentation
- Prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans
- Work on-site at industrial locations with limited supervision
- Work effectively, as a vital contributor, with diverse business and technical team members to deliver multiple projects on time and within defined scope
- Travel as required for field work and/or other client/business objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting for industrial clients, including managing projects for multi-site or very large single-site compliance projects, maintaining a broad base of industrial compliance knowledge, conducting comprehensive environmental compliance audits for industrial clients, preparing permit applications and managing compliance reporting, working with regulatory agencies, and preparing technical environmental compliance documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry knowledge including food and beverage or light/heavy manufacturing
- Qualification-based environmental system auditor certification
- Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental consulting
