PROJECT MANAGER

At Brycon, we are looking to expand our team and are currently looking for motivated candidates who want to build a career in construction. We are an established company with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall financial health of projects
  • Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projections
  • Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions
  • Provide financial and billings to accounting for timely payment
  • Create monthly owner, client, and subcontractor billings
  • Manage subcontracts and suppliers for the project
  • Oversee budget for and make selections of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Handle billings and contract management, including contract buyouts
  • Provide job assignments and manage career development
  • Approve all timecards for on-site team members weekly
  • Manage and provide training for new hires and team members
  • Review work performance; determine rewards and/or performance management measures
  • Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative
  • Assist with the review of the owner agreement
  • Resolve site concerns for the owner or owner's representative
  • Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities
  • Manage all change orders
  • Obtain the customer's and/or architect’s approval
  • Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
  • Provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Employees may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), on weekends and will be compensated based on the Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • 7 - 10+ years of construction project management
  • Commercial construction and/or general contractor experience required
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • A valid driver’s record preferred
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug /alcohol testing
