Founded in 2003, HHS Construction is a leading provider of infrastructure services to major telecommunications and cable providers, primarily in Southern California and adjacent geographies. HHS Construction’s core capabilities include aerial, underground, and substructure self-perform construction; ISP services; wireless services including Small Cell/CRAN installation, utility coordination, turn-key RF testing and maintenance; telecom engineering; placement and splicing of copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cables; and pole maintenance. HHS Construction is headquartered in Ontario, California.

Job Summary:
HHS Construction is looking for a Project Manager with experience with substructure, pole foundations, power and telecom trenching, asphalt, and concrete restoration. Experience with Wireless construction is also desired. The Project Manager will plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. Responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion
  • Reviews the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversees all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinates and directs construction workers and subcontractors
  • Selects tools, materials and equipment and tracks inventory
  • Meets contractual conditions of performance
  • Reviews the work progress on daily basis
  • Prepares internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plans ahead to prevent problems and resolves any emerging ones
  • Negotiates terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtains permits and licenses
  • Analyzes, manages, and mitigates risks
  • Ensures quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Mentors and arranges training for Construction Managers and filed personnel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field, preferred
  • Experience on substructure, pole foundations, power and telecom trenching, asphalt and concrete restoration is a must
  • aerial outside plant construction experience
  • G.O95 classification
  • Experience placing cable
  • Experience telecommunication line work
  • Proven working experience in construction management
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
  • Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
  • Must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear
