Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for the manufacturing process of assigned customer parts. This includes the development of the process design as well as supporting and managing continued production to meet customer requirements and delivery demands.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain cost effective process methods. Monitor progress of production, quality and costs associated with a job.
• Manage the accuracy of production reports evaluate data to drive improvement
• Communicate with area supervisors on matters related to project status, efficiencies and improvements.
• Work with Sales to prepare job quotes and report job progress and milestones to customer.
• Review purchase orders, specifications, and contractual requirements. Flow requirements to Production Group through detailed process sketches and work instructions.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, changes and expedite requests.
• Work closely with Scheduling, Production leaders and Quality to achieve the highest quality product on time and on budget.
• Provide technical help to both the production team and Sales: negotiating engineering revisions, submitting and negotiating disposition of non-conforming product, proposing repair or rework solutions as needed.
• Support department goals through outstanding service, attention to detail, and demonstrate a collaborative, positive environment with colleagues.

Required Skills/Experience

Highly preferred:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• High level of technical written and oral ability
• High level of professionalism
• Machine shop and/or Manufacturing production experience (precision machining)
• Self-driven and ability to manage competing priorities
• Teamwork; ability to lead and work with integrated product teams

Desired Skills/Experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Capable of reading and understanding Mechanical Blueprints
• 4 year degree or combination of education and mechanical engineering/project manager experience
