General Overview

This is a remote position. The Supply Chain Project Management team supports a large variety of projects where the focus is on savings opportunities for our institutions. Reporting directly to the Corporate Manager Projects & Business Management, the Project Manager will work closely with the Supply Chain Contracting team as well as leaders from our institutions to ensure that projects are successfully handled up to and post implementation date. Types of projects vary and can include large contract renewals which require physician engagement, managing the RFP process or onboarding of new institutions. This person would also support various committees to run their pipeline of savings initiatives. In this role the Project Manager will also be assisting to build out process improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain Team including developing, presenting opportunities and implementation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external customers
  • Develop long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for achievements and adhering to deadlines
  • Coordinate projects from inception to completion and within established timeframes:
  • Develop scope, goals, landmarks and timeframe of projects
  • Ensures accurate deliverables are identified while holding team members accountable
  • Develop, organize & handle all tools and documents associated with the Contracting department’s critical initiatives
  • Provide meaningful updates to leadership on project status formally and informally
  • Develop & maintain meeting management tools & outputs according to departmental protocol ex: agendas, meeting notes & assignments, PowerPoint slide decks
  • Develop process analysis and re-engineering to improve efficiency, lower costs and improve product quality
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of new/improved process models and organizational structures
  • Ability to think critically, be proactive and be a self-starter
  • Ability to professionally call out concerns, barriers, potential risks to appropriate audience(s) for stalled or incomplete assignments that will impact the project timeline
  • Ability to think globally and foster engagement among different departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Consistent record of successfully handling many highly visible, complex projects at the same time, and handling a “pipeline” of future projects
  • BA/BS in either Project Management or related field required
  • A strong aim to support the creation of an outstanding service organization committed to customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and works effectively under pressure
  • Self-starter with the ability to look for opportunities and present to leadership
  • Has a results oriented, positive, creative, responsible approach to projects
  • Experience in detailed work-planning and critical path development
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional

SKILLS/ABILTIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be able to function independently as well as within a team and within a broad scope of established hospital and departmental policies and goals
  • Must demonstrate above average skills in communication with all levels of personnel within the organization as well as numerous contacts with vendors
  • Ability to scope, plan, execute, and track projects with autonomy
  • A strong commitment to provide superior service which assures quality and user satisfaction
  • Proven ability to assume a leadership role within workgroups and projects
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs with emphasis on PowerPoint & Excel
  • Understanding of healthcare, supply chain or contracting a plus
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet project management system a plus

  • May be required to travel to hospital sites and corporate offices on an as needed basis
