A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a PM, you will perform complex project coordination by working with other Project Managers, construction crew leaders, estimating staff, and customers to ensure that all assignments are completed accurately, timely, within budget, and with a high degree of quality. You will track and report crew labor, equipment, and material costs to ensure that projects produce an acceptable level of profit. You will complete billing related tasks based on crew production, and effectively communicate any project status updates and changes with customers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROJECT MANAGER

• The ability to work in all aspects of construction projects.
• Must have a knowledge of and ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings, specifications, and system documentation.
• Must possess the ability to work closely with diverse groups of people, including company office and field employees at all levels, area contractors, customers, suppliers and other outside professionals with whom the company deals with on a regular basis.
• Must be technically proficient with computers and other electronic devices, including Microsoft Office products and scheduling software.

• Willingness and desire to learn and develop new skills.
