ISG is excited to strengthen our team with a Project Manager, passionate about our Water Business Unit. Applicants should have an enthusiasm for communicating with clients, developing relationships, and leading the design of water projects. As a Project Manager and key contributor of the business unit, you will be an ISG Employee Owner, working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. This role will provide you with numerous opportunities to learn, strengthen your project management skills, lead project efforts, and mentor team members.

Regardless of your location, you will participate in Water Business Unit activity throughout the entire ISG footprint. This may include 1-2 days of travel a few times each month. When feasible, team members utilize ISG’s private aircraft!

In this role, you will work closely with Chuck Brandel, PE. As the Water Business Unit Leader, he guides the ISG teams that work with a variety of clients on water treatment facility new construction and renovations, ditch and drainage improvements, wetland restorations, bioreactor additions, and more. Here are a few recent projects:

• Lakeside Lift Station—new station with an electric pump, backup generator, and pumps with energy-saving drives, all to improve sanitary sewer services for 600+ area residents
• Owatonna Stormwater Improvements—infrastructure solutions to manage stormwater and mitigate flooding near the City’s downtown library and post office
• Cedar Creek Wildlife Habitat Enhancement—overgrowth removal, excavation, native tree and shrub planting, and an all-terrain vehicle bridge

In this role, you will thoughtfully work with clients and skillfully mentor internal design team members. Here are a few more details:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Develop strategies to enhance ISG’s Water Business Unit.
• Lead a Delivery Team through multiple projects, in partnership with others, to successfully implement a client’s vision.
• Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and Delivery Team staffing plans in partnership with Project Leaders.
• Work in partnership with internal quality assurance team members and follow quality control processes.
• Demonstrate leadership by engaging in staff development and mentoring of Delivery Team members.
• Participate in construction administration services including site meetings.
• Other duties as assigned or instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to empathetically connect with clients and internal team members
• Ability to lead client communication and maintain client relationships for multiple projects.
• Ability to review AIA contracts, align scope of services, monitor project progress, and organize project financial information to support invoicing.
• Established relationships with Water clients.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam is beneficial, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development.
