Proofreader / Copywriter Job at SKB Accounting
SKB is looking for a Proofreader/ Copywriter for an ongoing position. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling copy that is both accurate and engaging. You should be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other members of the team. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in all written materials.
What You’ll Do
- Review every single little piece of SKB copy across all channels for typos, errors and style inconsistencies.
- Utilizing Adobe Acrobat to review projects before they move onto production.
- Collaborate with other members of the team on projects.
- Partner with copywriters, project managers and graphic designers to deliver proofed copy on sometimes tight deadlines.
- Make updates in Airtable, InVision and Talkoot.
- Double and triple check product details with merchants and production.
- Maintain our style guide.
- Proofread SKB documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Adopt our brand voice while helping to evolve it.
- Keep tabs on what’s going on word-wise in the industry.
What You Know
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field preferred.
- Cool-headed multitasking.
- Proficient in G-Suite and/or Microsoft applications and comfortable with the Mac OS.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Knowledge of current trends in copywriting and proofreading techniques.
- Must be skilled in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Indesign. Knowledge of other languages a plus.

Salary: $26.00 - $35.40 per hour
