At NJM Insurance Group (NJM), a top-rated insurance company, our General Claims department in Hammonton, NJ is looking for a Sr. Property Damage Representative candidate who has excellent communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills. We are looking for talent with and without prior experience in the insurance industry

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with work from home opportunities.

Salary: $71,000 - $83,000 annually. Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Conclude all claims within a minimum of two assignment territories while managing the volume and complexity of these claims, with appropriate closing documents and reports signifying resolution in a timely manner.
• Conduct ongoing review independently and with supervisor of all assigned files focusing on adequacy of reserve and required investigation.
• Initiate appropriate action to conclude all claims in a manner consistent with existing law, license and company guidelines.
• Verify coverage, open claims, contact parties involved.
• Verify and investigate information presented by first and third party claimants.
• Schedule appraisals or repair facilities, assess related damage.
• Contact witnesses, police departments, attorneys or other insurance companies.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 yrs. experience as a Property Damage/Auto Claims Adjuster.
• Completion of AIC/CPCU or licensed to adjust claims in Texas or Connecticut.
• Customer service experience or experience interacting with the public in a professional setting is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of Claims or Personal Lines area are a plus.
• Must be able to handle high level of claims volume and complexity in a fast paced environment.
• Multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Technical aptitude, including a working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
• Ability to think critically, use resources and seek answers.
