Summary: We’re looking for a Learning Leader who is eager to learn and implement client-centric proposal development best practices with an eye toward innovative trends. In the Proposal Manager role, you will be responsible for proposal development, including maintaining schedules, organizing resources, coordinating inputs and reviews, ensuring proposal strategy implementation, resolving internal response team issues, and providing process leadership. You will also develop and maintain content for common proposal sections, such as past performance, resumes, and other reusable content.

The successful candidate will continuously challenge themselves and others to improve the quality and timeliness of Briljent’s proposal submissions. Your mission is to win more business by bringing Briljent’s people and solutions to life. You will make every proposal evaluator’s job easy with data-driven, compliant, responsive, and empathetic proposals that tell compelling stories of customized solutions our clients deserve and their constituents need.

Essential Duties

  • Deliver compliant, responsive, on-time, and professionally produced electronic, digital, and printed proposals (and other sales documents), as assigned
  • Manage and track the progression of assigned proposals
  • Coordinate, organize, and manage assigned proposals from kick-off through production
  • Support response teams with win planning and strategy development
  • Develop, manage, and maintain proposal schedules with key dates and assignments for the response team
  • Assign sections of the proposal effort to a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., subject matter experts [SMEs], operations, human resources, finance, etc.)
  • Manage, coordinate, and bring together various proposal inputs to present the final response in one integrated, compelling voice
  • Provide post-submission support for assigned proposals, including presentation/orals, preparation and coaching
  • Write proposal narratives and leverage, as well as add to, the knowledgebase/content libraries of answers and reusable information
  • Regularly maintain reusable information, answers, and related information/materials in knowledgebase/content library
Requirements:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with command of U.S. English grammar and punctuation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to be tactfully persistent
  • An eye for visually appealing presentation and document layout
  • Attention to detail to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met
  • A can-do, positive attitude with a sense of urgency
  • Must be comfortable interacting regularly and directly with senior company leaders
  • Willingness to work across divisions/departments
  • Ability to work extended, flexible hours during proposal deadlines

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, and utilize technology tools such as a laptop computer for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.
