THIRA Health seeks a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with excellent communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills. The candidate must have crisis management experience and be able to effectively treat a caseload of adolescent and adult female behavioral health patients in partnership with THIRA’s Medical Team. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an integral part of the THIRA Health treatment team and reports to the Medical Director. The NP must have experience with co-occurring diagnoses and be comfortable prescribing and treatment planning for sometimes medically or psychiatrically complex cases.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate patients’ psychiatric needs, prescribe, and manage patient psychiatric medication while patients are enrolled in IOP or PHP level of care through regular medication management appointments and initial psychiatric evaluations; following up on any medical/medication related issues as needed (Required # patients will vary based on job type status). Sessions/appointments may be either in-person or virtual
  • Collaborate with attending Psychiatrist/Chief Medical Officer and multidisciplinary clinical team to create treatment plans and implement recommendations
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner using electronic medical record MicroMD
  • Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures for psychiatric medication management
  • Support in utilization review of all patients and interface with third-party payers to advocate for patient reauthorizations
  • Communicate with outside providers and patient family members regarding medical/medication information as needed

Required Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Licensed prescriber in State of Washington or license eligible; current license must maintain good standing with the State Licensing Board or license eligible
  • Two years minimum experience as a nurse practitioner required; OK for residency year experience to apply. Prior mental or behavioral healthcare required
