Overview
Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Labor Pool Telemedicine Psychiatrist to join our team at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.
Riverside Medical Group is expanding its specialty network and recruiting for physicians to join one of our many locations. Our commitment is to provide the right care, at the right time to our patients to enhance their well-being and improve their health. Our focus is on hospital-based psychiatric and substance abuse services that help adolescents and adults learn to manage behavioral health issues. Our Admissions team provides confidential comprehensive assessments and referral assistance. Our experienced, team of highly skilled, compassionate psychiatrists and other professionals in the field of mental health care are here to provide the care you deserve along with a comprehensive array of services including
- Crisis intervention
- Intensive treatment program (ITP)
- Adult psychiatric services (APSY)
- Inpatient detoxification services
- Dual diagnosis services
Our acute services provide short-term crisis care for adolescents ages 12 through 17 whose psychiatric difficulties require emergency intervention by a team of mental health professionals.
These services are appropriate for adolescents with a recent history of being a threat to themselves, others or property; or have impaired functioning due to mental health or substance abuse problems.
We provide crisis acute care that targets acute symptoms in order to transition to a lower level of care in the community.

Education:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Certification(s) and License(s):
Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia
Board Certified or Board Eligible by Board of Medicine
Current DEA
Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Collaborative approach with other physicians and providers
