The purpose of the Security guard is to provide overnight security and oversight to all Bay Hill property. This position much maintain a presence in all areas that would discourage unwanted activity.

· Constantly patrol and secure grounds, including golf course, houses, greens department, tennis courts, marina, and clubhouse areas.

· Report any security, safety, maintenance, and housekeeping issues that need to be addressed.

· Turn in lost and found to front desk.

· Follow up on any disturbances on Bay Hill property.

· Ensure golf course is locked up every night.

· Ensure all critical access points are secured.

· Deliver items to guest rooms after housekeeping leaves for the night.

· Fill out and send security report at the end of each shift.

· Ensure all lodge room doors are closed and secured.

· On the rare occasion, escort unruly guests off property if needed.

· Work with local neighborhood security company.

Qualifications and Characteristics Required

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

· Any combination of education or experience equivalent to the graduation of high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform to the position standards. High school diploma preferred.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand direction and to meet guest needs.

· Ability to pay attention to detail and identify problems.

· Basic knowledge of cleanliness procedures.
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule.

Physical/Mental Requirements

· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to endure long periods of standing, sitting and walking.
