About the Role:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Negotiating with vendors
Placing orders
Maintaining stock of certain items
Working with Shipping & Receiving to locate orders
A promising applicant will have good interpersonal skills, be punctual, and be a self-starter.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
Familiarity with Superdos OS is a plus
3+ years' experience as a manufacturing buyer is required for consideration (5+ years preferred)
Experience buying products for power transmission. (Conveyor components, Electrical components, hydraulic components, etc.)
Experience buying tooling for a machine shop (cutting inserts/holders, spare parts for machines used for manufacturing parts)
Experience buying Raw Materials
You should be proficient in:
- Commodity Purchasing Experience
- Sourcing and Procurement Experience
- Supplier Negotiation Experience
