Compensation Range: $21 - $23 an hour

SUMMARY: The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for all activities occurring inclusive of ingredients, material, tracking, documentation management, inventory metrics and reporting, customer service and associate interaction in the management of all suppliers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain proper inventory level on inventoried and consumable
Review and maintain material requirements based on scheduling
Receive inventoried items
Verify cycle count and inventory items
Documentation of inventory
Ordering of material for plant
Purchase inventoried needed for plant and production
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed to support Mizkan Rancho Cucamonga business objectives
Responsible for food quality and safety
Maintain an organized, sanitary and safe work area
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate is required. Completion of some college courses is desirable.
Minimum two years of related experience is required
Experience within the food or consumer packaged goods industry is strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to work effectively with vendors, customers and with personnel in all departments, plants and level of management
Good math aptitude and analytical skills are required
Intermediate level Excel skills are required, including ability to create Excel graphs and spreadsheets
Attention to detail, organization, and ability to communicate effectively
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, shift gears and re-prioritize
Strong communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
Able to demonstrate knowledge and application software
Knowledge of Windows, D365 or other operating systems
Ability to work with others well in a team environment
