This position is entirely remote and will report to the CTO.
The Engineering department is seeking an experienced, insightful, and forward-thinking Quality Assurance Engineering Manager to enhance automation coverage and effectiveness across our portfolio of products. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop, facilitate and oversee sound quality assurance processes in the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a QA engineer, managing complex programs, extensive experience in Ruby on Rails, and strong management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Building on existing and creating new automation strategies to enable and drive Engineering teams across Prevail to build automation at scale
- Build product expertise to identify and close gaps in automation test coverage in our products
- Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operations excellence, and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements
- Lead the improvement and implementation of best practices, methodologies, and tooling to meet quality coverage needs for products
- Be the advocate for testability, drive best engineering practices, and defect prevention
- Manage, develop, and coach direct reports
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and/or related work experience
- Minimum of at least three years in Ruby on Rails
- Minimum of at least three years of people management experience
- Eight-plus years of relevant QA/testing automation experience
- Experience setting the technical vision for developing test automation and continuous integration
- Experience in creating and implementing test automation strategies, automated testing methodologies, approaches, tools, techniques (unit, functional, integration), and debugging test failures
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and high standards of competence, integrity, professionalism, and the ability to manage a diverse workforce
- Experience with Video conferencing, Ad-tech, Social Media, and E-commerce
- Familiarity with start-up environments

The pay range for this salary position is $125,000 - 165,000/yr; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
