Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Verifies completion of necessary sampling, analytical testing, microbiological testing and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) criteria for raw materials, packaging materials and finished products, including, but not limited to:
• Reviewing accuracy and completeness of vendor-issued Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) and Certificates of Conformance (COC’s).
• Reviewing accuracy and completeness of internally drafted product release documentation.
• Analyzing data against known specifications or standards, where applicable, and drawing conclusions.

• Communicates/reports results to internal stakeholders and the QA Department leadership team, including, but not limited to:
• Identifying out of specification (OOS) results for non-conforming products or materials.
• Initiating necessary deviation reports, including the compilation, reference and review of historical data.

• Uses information collected from various inputs (electronic systems, meetings, QA department leadership, emails etc.) to continually prioritize the order in which raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods should be reviewed and released in an effort to meet manufacturing and shipping schedules.
• Attends weekly team meetings to document discussion topics and provide input on safety, quality, and other pertinent issues.
• Knowledge of how to navigate in RedZone as they would need to access RedZone and sign off in RedZone for release of finished goods.

Qualifications of this job?

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a strong emphasis in a science related field (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.) is desired. Equivalent of education and/or work experience will be considered.
• Must hold current, valid drivers’ license and provide proof of current automobile insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation to transport self between company facilities during work hours, as needed, and transportation to and from off-site company events.

Working conditions of this job?

• 525 25th Ave Se, Albany OR 97322
• Working in an office setting approximately 90% of the time. The other 10% would be split between collecting samples and photos from inside the plant in refrigerated or frozen rooms. Driving to our offsite Distribution Center or our third party frozen facility to collect samples or photos which is in ambient temperatures.
• Please note the days were are look to fill are Sunday – Thursday to support release times. Ideally work hours would be 9am to 5pm but we could be flexible on the times.
