Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing and executing quality assurance test suites and testing approaches throughout the application development and support lifecycle from design, delivery, operations and maintenance. This position will ensure overall code quality and ongoing maintenance and operations of Backshop, a commercial real estate loan origination platform. The QA Support Analyst reports to the Director of Software Development in our Larkspur office which will be moving to San Francisco in early of Q3.

Responsibilities

· Confirm software functionality for new production releases

· Develop tests for features developed in-sprint

· Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios

· Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix

· Participate in developing and documenting user stories, including testing estimates and validation tests

· Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently

· Provide exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behavior, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature

· Work with build teams to manage Dev, QA, Staging and Production release of software

Skills:

· Selenium

· Experience in API testing – using tools like POSTMAN and automation tools

· Experience testing applications developed in SQL Server, C#, Asp.net

· 2+ years of quality assurance experience

· Knowledge of automation best practices, test case organization tools and QA metrics

· Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools preferred

· Residential or commercial real estate background preferred

· Superior interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong analytical/technical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills

· Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results
