SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager shall understand Army Aviation policy & procedures. establish, maintain, and submit a complete Quality Management Plan IAW DI-MGMT-80004A to ensure the requirements of the contract are met. Know, understand & respond to Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP). knowledgeable of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems-Requirements, SAE-AS 9100 Quality Management Systems-Aerospace Requirements or other DoD approved quality system single process initiative (SPI).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Functions as a Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert.
- ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems-Requirements .
- Reviews and provides comments on Standard Operating Procedures.
- SAE-AS 9100 Quality Management Systems-Aerospace Requirements .
- Leads quality control testing/sampling for quality failures and non-conforming practices by identifying the root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory authority
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least two (2) years of aviation related Quality Control or Quality assurance experience, of which at least one years shall be commensurate with position assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills to analyze situations, assess risks and prevent future issues, balanced with the judgment to escalate as needed.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Strong team building, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, Risk, schedule, strategies, and org structure to upper management.
- The ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
