A&F IT is a unit under the Executive Office for Administration & Finance (A&F) and is overseen by the A&F IT Secretariat Chief Information Officer (A&F SCIO). A&F IT is comprised of more than 200 employees working on IT systems and applications for 15 various A&F agencies. A&F IT oversees and provides all the IT application support for these agencies to ensure their IT operations are running effectively and efficiently.

The Executive Office for Administration and Finance IT (A&F IT) is hiring a Production Support Quality Assurance Manager to join the GeniSys Team in A&F IT’s DOR IT Support Bureau for the GeniSys Program. This position is being posted as an internal and external position opportunity. The selected individual must have strong Quality Assurance SDLC experience, Tax or Financial application experience is preferred.

The Production Support Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Genisys IT Director and have 4 direct reports and 20 indirect reports.

The candidate should be able to:

• Serve as Production support lead for the GeniSys Application.
• Act as liaison to DOR Tax Administration Business group.
• Work with the Systems Architect, Development Manager, and Production Support managers to ensure smooth SDLC for the Genisys Platform.
• Manage day-to-day operations for the GeniSys Quality Assurance team and provide updates as needed to key Application Support Management.
• Provide guidance on the application with an understanding of business and technical requirements of the application.
• Establish and ensure testing standards and processes along with best practices are executed for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
• Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold weekly team meetings
• Evaluate any other projects, testing, and oversee all Genisys specific piece of any projects where applicable.
• Collaborate with business to prioritize quality assurance testing and ensure complete requirement gathering to provide high quality product
• Serve as the foreman for the war room and other executive level meetings pertaining to the Genisys Application.
• Provide oversight to the QA Supervisors in the GeniSys application.
• Interact with third party partners; banking partners including credit card vendor.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-6 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance
• Knowledge of basic accounting methods and principles
• Knowledge of Tax and/or Financial Applications
• Knowledge of SQL Server database development techniques
• Experience with GeniSys quality assurance testing and protocols and procedures
• Knowledge of tax business processes
