Quality Assurance Specialist (Surge JLTV)

Job Summary

Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist (Surge JLTV) to provide core quality tool oversight and implementation.

Surge Personnel: In the event the Government exercises options that increase the required staffing levels for any position, the contractor shall provide additional personnel within forty-five (45) calendar days of Government notification. The contractor shall only provide personnel who meet the minimum qualifications required for the position.

The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a Joint Services Program. The United States Army (USA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) are the two main proponents of the JLTV Joint Program Office (JPO). JPO JLTV requires a joint service (USA/USMC) PM FP, the Life Cycle Manager for the JLTV Family of Vehicles (FoV) requires services for the procurement, delivery, and sustainment of JLTV systems. This supports implementation and sustainment of current program actions and future programs.

Specific Responsibilities

• Review/approve assigned Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Requests for Deviation (RFD) in Government Windchill System.
• Review/approve PPAP reports.
• Review assigned CDRLs.
• Review/approve to AIAG core tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
• Support production and engineering teams (vehicle fabrication, assembly, finishing, test, PPAP, CFAT, issue management, etc.).
• Support STS Work Directives as assigned.
• Support test activities and work to bring issues to final resolution.
• Coordinate PQDR receipt and resolution.
• Support production and quality management system audits.
• Support supplier quality process audits and improvements.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience with production processes.
• Experiences with AIAG core tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC. To include auditing of production processes against AIAG or Process Sign-off requirements.
• Experience with the 7D/8D corrective action process. To include problem identification, containment, root cause analysis, corrective action development, corrective action verification and application of lessons learned.
• Experience with IATF 16949 or similar (TS 16949/ISO 9000) quality management system.
• Experience with Technical Program Management. Includes working knowledge of scheduling with MS Project, risk management, issue management, and cost reporting/management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
