Job Title: Quality Control Officer/Manager
General Summary
Position is responsible for overseeing job site quality control and environmental program development and implementation. Is responsible for reviewing quality inspection reports; analyzing incidents and accidents; developing site specific training programs; and modifying Quality Control Plans to reflect current procedures and requirements. Ensures full compliance with Joint Commission and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 procedures. Holds authority and responsibility for quality control program and takes actions to further strengthen it. Coordinates, directs, and promotes quality initiatives on sites to ensure continual improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Instills organizational adherence to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Program, and compliance with local, federal, state regulations.
· Oversees the Quality Control Plan and reviews site performance in meeting performance, cost, and schedule goals.
· Directs, supervises and evaluates the work of safety auditors, inspectors or other personnel engaged in the delivery of QEHS programs.
· Provides guidance and support to the Management team regarding quality improvements efforts.
· Performs quality control audits and inspections frequently to identify deficiencies; ensures prompt and appropriate corrective action.
· Develops and implements site specific quality control plan; responsible for Schedule and coordinating employee training.
· Prepares reports for review by Management and as required by contracting and other regulatory agencies.
· Keeps abreast of developments in quality control practices and legislation, acting upon changes accordingly.
· Prepares and presents reports of findings, recommendations, and actions to Project Manager and Operational Manager.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control evaluation and reporting in the fields of construction or facility management work.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in comparably sized health facilities.
· Strong written, oral communication skills and leadership skills.
· Ability to develop and implement policies, programs, plans and processes.
Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements
- Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility.
- Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
- Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
