Department Overview
The Vegetation Management (VM) and System Inspection (SI) Process and Organizational Development team initiates, monitors, coordinates and supports process improvement initiatives that have a direct impact on VMSI work efficiency objectives and support VMSI overall strategic plan. The team partners closely with leaders in Vegetation Management and System Inspection Execution, Vegetation Management Quality Control, Risk and Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Verification/Assurance to select and drive relevant projects to greater efficiency and productivity.

Position Summary
The Inspection Review Specialist (PTT) examines and reviews the findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents identify trends in the findings of other personnel, prepare reports and recommendations and validate determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

The hourly rate for this position ranges from:
Bay Area Minimum: $54.80
Bay Area Maximum: $87.50
&/OR
California Minimum: $51.82
California Maximum: $83.17

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities

Serves as the subject matter expert (SME), providing oversight and guidance on more complex notification field scenarios and working on ad-hoc or special requests for the Pole Test and Treat Inspections program.
Reviews completed inspection forms, attached pictures, maps and other information submitted from inspectors in company systems (such as Inspect and 3rd Party devices) to analyze and evaluate the inspector’s conclusions.
Returns incomplete records to originator or Supervisor for correction and ensures all records and findings are maintained for potential future audits.
Directs internal inspection quality audit efforts. Develops reports describing audit findings, observations, and trends, and presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
Develops job aids and guidance documents related to new or revised standards or work procedures, including providing training to Sr. Inspection Review Specialists and field inspectors.
Reviews, approves and releases staging notifications, corrective notifications and orders submitted by inspectors, based on the priority of work tasks.
Assists in the review of notifications validated by new Specialists for accuracy and quality, trains and mentors new employees, and assists others using established processes, practices, and procedures, and acts as a lead for contractors or supplemental internal resources.
Identifies process improvement opportunities and leads the implementation of approved projects, working with peers to develop and improve processes.
Performs quality assurance reviews, as applicable, based on the Inspection results/ EC/LC field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the originating inspector.
Assists Supervisor in evaluating metric results and outliers and provides back-up support for the Supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
Experience as Senior Inspection Review Specialist, or job-related, 6 months
Utility industry experience, or other job-related, 7yrs
Ability to travel up to 15 percent of working time

Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience as Senior Inspection Review Specialist (CIRT), 18 months
Experience as Senior Inspection Review Specialist (AIR+), 12 months
Experience in engineering, 4 years
Experience as electric Journeyman, 8 years
