ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Coordinator assists in the effective implementation of the Quality Program at the project level. Quality Coordinator act as an unbiased Quality representative independent of influences of project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Review WMSs and develop/review ITPs.
  • Review test reports for compliance and completeness.
  • Review DIRs and associated checklists.
  • Perform periodic on/off site inspections if needed.
  • Liaise with Construction Team on quality requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend project meetings and provide quality updates.
  • Prepare for internal/external audits.
  • Provide support to Quality Team during weekends.
  • Serve as backup during the absence of any ASN Quality Team member.
  • Other quality tasks as needed/directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Competencies include technical capacity, thoroughness, learning orientation, and project management skills
  • Ability to perform work in an expeditious and highly accurate manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees
  • Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in oral and written format
  • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications
  • Ability to read and understand contract exhibits
  • Must be analytical, organized, and have high level of attention to detail
  • Interpersonal Skills – Builds strong and open relationships with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Team
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; seeks to understand, listens, and obtains clarification prior to making decisions

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A two-year related degree; or equivalent of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the civil design, engineering, or construction industry; with experience in concrete quality and Infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with self-perform projects
  • Knowledge of one of more quality systems: i.e., ISO 9001, Army Corps of Engineers, continuous improvement, etc.
  • Experience in Design/Build projects
  • Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place
  • Current driver's license
